Description
What is a hydra tarp system?
A hydra tarp system is an automated or semi-automated (usually hydraulically or electrically operated) covering solution for trucks, particularly those carrying bulk loads in open-top containers like skip bins or tippers. The systems use a durable mesh PVC tarp that is retracted over the load via arms, rollers, or cables. They are often controlled remotely or by switches from ground level or the cab, eliminating the need for manual tarping.
Hydra tarps safely and efficiently contain the load, prevent spillage or debris from escaping during transit, enhance operational speed and improve safety.
Replacement hydra tarps
From time to time, hydra tarp systems will suffer physical damage to the hydra tarp material such as large rips, tears and punctures, failed seams or hems, thinning fabric and more – which all reduce strength and integrity. This can be from UV degradation, abrasion, chemical damage or simply regular use (hydra tarp is at end of life). Continuing to use a damaged hydra tarp may lead to not only reduced performance, but operational failures and component issues within the overall system.
Sometimes it is also necessary to replace your hydra tarp if there are changes in operational requirements (new load types with different tarp specifications), or updated transport or environmental regulations.
